WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based form of psychotherapy which looks at how we think, feel and behave. It is an effective treatment for a range of common mental health problems and is recommended by NICE guidance. CBT aims to empower patients by teaching them how to understand and then overcome their problems. It is highly collaborative treatment, with the ultimate aim making you, your own therapist.

WHAT DOES CBT TREAT?
CBT is an effective treatment for a range of common mental health problems including: Depression, Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Health Anxiety, Phobias, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Body Dysmorphia, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders, Low Self Esteem, Long Term Health Conditions (Chronic pain, fibromyalgia etc).
CBT uses a blend of Cognitive and Behavioural Techniques. A commonly used Cognitive Technique is Cognitive Restructuring which aims to teach patients how to challenge and balance out negative thoughts. A common behavioural technique is Behavioural Activation which aims to lift mood by changing peoples activity levels.

Telephone and video sessions are provided throughout the UK at a time to suit you.
Clinical supervision sessions for Cognitive Behavioural Therapists provided via Skype or Telephone.
CORPORATE WELLBEING DAYS
Are you a conscientious employer who wants to aid and support staff well-being? If so these well being days may be for you. I provide half or full day wellbeing workshops through my sister company Sensus Wellbeing. These days centre around teaching staff about common mental health problems, how to spot difficulties with their mental health and what they can do to manage and treat symptoms.
